battery dying quickly

I have a MacBook Air (13-inch, Early 2015) and it's up to date 10.11.6 it's been dying too fast lately like changed at night. After two hours of just being online it's next to dead it just started happening too. near were the screen is the black part at the bend gets warm too. I just wonder what's wrong?

Good. Please read Apps can affect Mac performance, battery runtime, temperature, and fan activity - Apple Support to determine if any particular app might be responsible.


If that does not reveal anything of interest, please read and follow all these instructions, starting with Before resetting the SMC and including If you're using a Mac notebook computer that is having issues related to power or the battery:


Reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac - Apple Support


This may also be relevant: If the fans on your Mac notebook computer run after you migrate data - Apple Support.


If none of the above resolves the problem, the problem could be caused by a defective battery despite the fact its condition is reported to be "normal". In that case, contact Apple to arrange for an evaluation of the battery, and replacement, if necessary. Start here: Servicing the battery in your Mac notebook.
